On June 30th, our Furniture with a Heart thrift store in Lancaster celebrated its second anniversary. Furniture with a Heart Lancaster is a hybrid thrift store and furniture bank. Nearly 200 Fairfield county families have been served since the store opened, receiving essential furniture items they otherwise would not have been able to afford.
“We have been overwhelmed by the support of the Lancaster community,” said Phil Washburn, Furniture Bank CEO. “This one-of-a-kind, furniture bank and thrift store combination has proven to be wildly successful, in large part due to the generosity of this community.”
