There are hundreds of thousands of Central Ohioans experiencing furniture poverty. Living day-to-day without a bed to sleep in, without a table to eat dinner at, or without a sofa to relax on makes life tough, even moreso during the holidays. During this season of thankfulness and celebration, many of our neighbors are in dire need of these simple, yet critical, resources. 

Yvette and her family recently visited the Furniture Bank while recovering from homelessness. After securing a permanent home for herself, her husband, and their three children, they were faced with a complete lack of furniture. She said “It was empty. It was hard trying to make it into a home. We couldn’t sleep, or use our living room.”

After visiting our showroom, selecting everything the family needed for their new home, and receiving their furniture that same day, Yvette said  that “Getting help from the Furniture Bank was a good experience. They really helped me get what we needed and pick out other things besides furniture that will be helpful, too. My family and I are so grateful for what they do”.
