Santa visited the Furniture Bank this week and dropped off over 200 hand crafted wooden toys- trucks, doll beds, blocks, airplanes and trains. The Woodworkers of Central Ohio had a competition with the Woodworkers of Dayton to see who could make the most toys by being Elves and part of Santa’s workshop! So far, WOCO has made more than 4,000 toys!
The Furniture Bank of Central Ohio provided storage space for the toys to be sorted and wrapped, then loaded up one of our trucks to deliver to kids at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, JOIN, St. Vincent Family Center and Gladden Community House. President Mike Quinn and Furniture Bank Operations Manager Chuck Camp delivered toys earlier this week. Santa’s elve’s are thankful for the help and glad that WOCO could help kids in need in Central Ohio this holiday season.
