Turning an Empty House into a Home.

The Furniture Bank helps those in need with free furniture and household goods for individuals and families moving from difficult situations. A typical client leaves our warehouse with 13-15 pieces of furniture such as mattresses, box springs, dressers, couches, chairs, coffee/end tables, lamps, kitchen tables, kitchen chairs, and miscellaneous household goods.

Need Furniture?

Ask your social service agency case manager to make an appointment for you to get free furniture at the Furniture Bank. Please note that you cannot make an appointment for yourself - the Furniture Bank only accepts client appointments through your case manager or other independent sponsor. An independent sponsor may be your church or house of worship, your employer, etc. Ask your case manager for more details. Same-day furniture delivery is available is for a small fee, in either curbside or inside format.

List of Current Referring Agencies.

If you are a client of one of the agencies listed below, ask your case manager if she/he will provide a referral for you to the Furniture Bank to receive free furniture. Please note that you will NOT be able to get an appointment for free furniture from any of these organizations unless you are accepted as a client for the service(s) that they provide in the community. Each agency listed has its own expectations and requirements for families and individuals that they accept as clients.

Periodically, when we have enough furniture, we will accept a referral appointment from your church or house of worship, or your employer. However, the referring agencies listed below receive first priority for appointments.

Case Managers.
Your case manager or independent sponsor must schedule the appointment and accompany you to your appointment at the Furniture Bank. Appointments are typically available within 1 to 1 1/2 weeks.


A 15-minute appointment is scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Please arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment. If you are late for your appointment, you may need to wait until everyone is served or you may be asked to reschedule your appointment.

Deliver Furniture.

The Furniture Bank is happy to provide same-day delivery of selected furniture for clients, in either curbside or inside delivery format. There is a small charge for this service, and it must be requested by your case manager or sponsor at the time the appointment is made.

Payment is required (cash, money order or credit card; no personal checks accepted) at the time of your appointment (except when agency billing has been pre-arranged). If you select curbside delivery, please have assistance available to transport the furniture from your driveway or parking lot into their residence.

Health Risk-free Furniture Warranty.

If you detect and we confirm any health risks in the furniture you received from the Furniture Bank, you will get another FREE opportunity to select replacement items within 2 business days, at no cost to you and free delivery is included.

Our Commitment to Health Risk-free Furniture

At the Furniture Bank, we work hard to ensure that every piece of furniture we provide for our clients is 100% free from all harmful substances including parasites such as bed bugs. Our thorough approach in providing health risk free furniture begins with screening potential donated items for harmful substances and continues through every step of the donation process.

Screening Process.

We screen every piece of furniture we receive, discussing with the donor key issues such as communicable diseases, bed bugs, pet hair/allergies. We do not accept any furniture that may be contaminated.

Trained Employees.

Every Furniture Bank employee is trained to identify the signs that furniture may be contaminated by bed bugs. This training is a continuous education program and not simply a one-time course.

Rigorous Pickup Inspection.

Every item we send out is inspected at least 4 times by a Furniture Bank trained employee. These inspections occur twice during the pickup and drop off stage as we receive the donated furniture and twice more during the pickup and drop off stage as we deliver the furniture to the client.

Frequent Facility Inspections.

Our facilities and vehicles are routinely inspected and treated for parasites by a professional pest control company as a preventive measure. To date, we have had no instances of contamination of any kind including bed bugs.
